The Carlanderska Hospital Foundation was inaugurated in 1927 and has since developed into a successful hospital specializing in specialist care. Here, public healthcare, insurance-based healthcare, and private healthcare are provided both in-house and in collaboration with several other healthcare providers. RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for you who want to work as a medical secretary at Carlanderska Health Centre!
Since September 2025, Carlanderska Health Centre has been located in completely new premises at Eklandagatan 80, alongside BVC (Child Health Centre) and Carlanderska Rehab. Here, new opportunities are created for both patients and employees, and with us, you will become part of a competent and tightly knit team of about 40 employees. We are also responsible for coordinating a special housing facility. The team includes doctors, nurses, district nurses, assistants, psychologists, a receptionist, and medical secretaries, who work together to provide our patients with security, good treatment, and professional care, always with high medical competence from first contact to completed treatment.
Your role as a medical secretary is central to our operations. You contribute both with service to our patients and with administrative support that facilitates a well-functioning care process.
We actively work with development and improvements through structured quality work and digitalization, of which you will become a natural part.
In your daily work, you handle referrals, billing matters, mail, journal requisitions, quality registers, and bookings. You also function as internal IT support and receive patients at the reception. The systems we work with include, among others, Webdoc and 1177. We apply job rotation, which creates variety in tasks and contributes to a stimulating and developing work environment.
The position is a permanent employment, starting with a six-month probationary period.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are trained as a medical secretary (degree certificate required). We appreciate that you enjoy variety in work, are active in development work, and approach changes with a positive attitude. Previous experience from primary care work can be an advantage, but other experience is also valuable. You should find it easy to adapt to different IT systems and welcome digital working methods.
Furthermore, we see that you have good administrative and organizational skills and thrive in a service-oriented role. You are meticulous, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating. You also have the ability to work in an environment where the pace is sometimes high and where several tasks may need to be handled in parallel.
You are also open to change and thrive in a constantly developing operation where you actively contribute to improvements and new ways of working.
As a person, you are confident in your professional role, have a positive attitude, and contribute to a good work climate.
