We are looking for you to take on an important assignment – to be a personal assistant for a man in his 70s who lives with a back injury, uses a wheelchair, and resides in Norrtälje. Sports and woodworking are major interests, as well as cooking, crafts, home interior design, and plants.

This is a role where presence, attentiveness, and responsibility are crucial. You will work closely with him and adapt the support according to his needs, daily condition, and wishes. As a personal assistant, you will become part of a small circle around him, where continuity and trust are the focus. Your contribution enables him to live his life based on his own conditions and maintain as much independence as possible.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various assistive devices, and help with activities. The workplace is in his home and wherever he is located. Working hours include both day and evening shifts, as well as one weekend per month. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, for example in case of illness.

Since you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for and by your specific client, good work ethic is important, where everyone supports each other. You need to be available during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We prefer that you, as an applicant, have a flexible and independent working style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good documentation skills and a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and sensitivity for caring for people.

Other desirable qualities include a good mood, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You must be fluent in Swedish, as this is a job where good communication is very important. Experience in personal assistance is a significant advantage.
