The Outpatient Care Unit is part of the Individual and Family Care within the Social Services Administration. It offers both need-assessed and preventive interventions for children, young people, families, and adults. Using a systemic theoretical approach, we focus on resources and relationships to strengthen what is already working in an individual's life. Our unit consists of a dedicated team of family therapists, adult therapists, counselors, treatment assistants, and network leaders.
Job Description
Within Individual and Family Care, we have close access to both colleagues and managers. Managers collaborate across unit boundaries, which gives us good conditions for finding the best solutions for our citizens and clients. At our workplace, we work without hierarchy and learn from each other.
We currently have a need for treatment assistants. In the role of a treatment assistant within Individual and Family Care at Ekerö Municipality, you will work based on assignments from all units within Individual and Family Care. The tasks vary depending on the help needs of the individual or family. Together with your colleagues, you will conduct motivational and change work in the assignments you undertake.
The tasks are varied and include among other things:
- supporting families and individuals in their homes
- conducting home visits
- assisting with placements of children/young people and adults
- motivating for change
- supporting contact between placed children and biological parents
- being part of safety planning
- supporting individuals in their contact with other societal authorities
You will be part of the Outpatient Care Unit, and the unit manager of the Outpatient Care Unit is your direct supervisor, who also leads and distributes the work together with the team leader.
Travel throughout Sweden is included in the job duties. Administrative work is part of the role, so good written skills are necessary. Scheduled working hours will apply.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Education as a treatment assistant, social pedagogue, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
- Category B driver's license
For this position, you must be driven, patient, independent, and self-starting. You need to be flexible and solution-focused. You have good collaboration skills with both internal and external actors and work without hierarchy, keeping the individual's best interests as your focus.
