About the Position

The Support and Development Unit is a centrally organized team under Children and Education in Båstad Municipality. The unit includes the statutory student health services, such as psychologists, school counselors, school nurses, special educators, and speech therapists. Open preschool and the coordination of the Family Centre are also part of the unit. In total, we are 20 people working with health-promoting and preventive measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels. We also work with investigations and action planning regarding children/students in need of special support.

We are now looking for a school doctor who wants to work in comprehensive school grades F-9 as well as in upper secondary school.

Responsibilities

The Student Health Service's mission is to support students' development towards educational goals through health-promoting and preventive measures. The school doctor handles routine tasks within the framework of the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the medical component of the student health service. The role includes interventions and consultation regarding student groups and individual students. In the individually focused work, the student health service has a special responsibility to remove obstacles for each individual student's learning and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed school doctor with appropriate education and experience working within the medical component of the student health service. You need to be flexible and have a driver's license to travel between the schools.

A driver's license and access to a car are required.
