About the workplace

The Citizen Center is the gateway to the municipality and the first point of contact for residents in Lund. The department consists of about twenty municipal guides who help residents with questions and cases within the municipality's various areas of operation every day. The Citizen Center is part of the communications department at the municipal office and is in an active phase of development with a focus on strengthening the quality of the citizen encounter.

About the role and your responsibilities

The Municipal Guide provides guidance, service, and information to citizens and residents in Lund. The role involves independently and in collaboration with colleagues receiving, handling, and responding to contacts in the first line, or referring them to the correct department within the municipality as needed. The work is mainly carried out via telephone but also through email, digital channels, and personal meetings. The assignment requires a secure, professional, and empathetic approach, as well as sound professional judgment in both simple and complex cases. The Municipal Guide also participates in cross-functional work focused on improving and developing customer journeys, working methods, and processes from the residents' perspective.

Qualifications

A university degree is meritorious, preferably within social sciences, social work, humanities, or another relevant field. We are looking for you with experience working in communication, educational settings, counseling, service, or similar. You have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Other languages common in the municipality's population are meritorious. For this specific recruitment, we are looking for you who also speak Arabic. Experience working in several digital business systems is a requirement.

About the recruitment process
