The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and health and social care at home, individual and family care, and care and nursing homes.
The Disability Services operation performs all interventions regulated by the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), which includes special housing, day activities, and personal assistance.
The primary task of the operation is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in social life for people with disabilities.

Job Description
Our current Senior LSS Case Worker is moving on to a managerial role, and we are therefore looking for a replacement for the authority implementation unit within the Disability Services operation. The unit currently consists of six LSS case workers who work with the investigation of LSS interventions and certain interventions under the Social Services Act, two social secretaries who work with implementing interventions for contact persons, support families, escort services, and substitute services. We also have three administrators who work with administration within personal assistance, sick leave salary applications, and other administration within the operation.
As a Senior LSS Case Worker, your main task will be to provide case and method guidance, both individually and in groups, for both new and experienced LSS case workers, social secretaries, and administrators. You will support staff with prioritization in daily work and aim for them to work independently and efficiently.
The role includes being an expert and keeping up to date with new research, legislation, practice, and directives, as well as ensuring these are implemented in operational work.
You will be involved in creating and maintaining routines and functioning processes. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you will monitor the unit's goals, results, and quality in case handling, identify and drive improvement proposals, and lead the development of the unit forward.
Other duties included in the role;
- Maintain methods and assessment instruments so that they are used in daily case handling
- Read written materials on investigations and provide feedback
- Responsible for reviewing case handling based on current legislation, practice, and guidelines
- Be involved in creating good collaboration with other units
- Contribute to a good working environment in the unit
- Certain case handling may occur, for example, in cases of appeal, complex, or acute matters.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, lawyer, or has another education that the employer deems equivalent. You also have several years of work experience in authority implementation according to LSS and SoL. A B driver's license is required as travel is part of the job.
If you have previous work experience in authority implementation of assistance benefits, other authority implementation within a municipality or agency, it is strongly meritorious.

You are communicative, clear, sensitive to your counterpart, and have the ability to formulate information or messages so that everyone understands. Furthermore, you are secure and stable in yourself and in your work. You are calm, controlled, and have the ability to focus on the right things and maintain a realistic perspective even in pressured situations. The role of Senior LSS Case Worker also requires that you have the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work, ensuring that things are done and feedback is given in a timely manner. We also see that you adapt easily to different people and situations, and that you can meet each employee at their level and according to their need for support and guidance in work.
