Who are we?
Vilbergsskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school in Norrköping with approximately 340 students and a strong staff with high qualifications and great commitment to operational development. Here we work together with high work ethic, much joy in work, and a clear belief that all students are everyone's responsibility.
The after-school program is a stable and well-functioning organization where development ideas are valued and where employees have significant influence over the operations. The after-school program is an integrated and recognized part of the entire school and, like other operations, has close cooperation with the student health team to support students throughout the school day.
We are in an exciting phase of development where we are building a completely new school together ahead of the move in the autumn term of 2028. The after-school program has been involved in the design of the new premises, and in the new school, the operations will, among other things, have its own music studio.
Currently, we are also collaborating with Linköping University on the development of our own conflict management model that strengthens our work with safety, relationships, and fostering good citizens.
Your responsibilities
As an after-school teacher with a focus on music, you are an important part of both the school's and the after-school program's development. You are part of an engaged after-school team with high competence and great drive.
The position involves teaching music to students in grades 1–6. The scope and structure are partially adapted based on your experience and the needs of the operations.
You collaborate closely with our current after-school teacher with a music profile, meaning you will together become two music educators at the school. You engage in the school's shared traditions where music plays a central and important role. This includes, for example, Lucia celebrations, school closing ceremonies, and more.
The role also includes work in the after-school program's operations, where relational work, recess activities, and the development of students' social skills are central parts. The after-school program is responsible for, among other things, the school's outdoor classrooms and works actively to create meaningful recesses and a safe school environment.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified after-school teacher with subject competence in music.
You are qualified to teach music in grades 1–6 and see music as a tool for learning, creativity, and community. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching students of different ages and working in both school and after-school settings.
It is also a strength if you play instruments and sing in your teaching yourself. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and in writing.
To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are flexible and adapt easily to new situations and ways of working. You are reliable and take responsibility for your assignment and your relationships.
As a person, you have good self-awareness and the ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You have the ability to plan and organize your work in a structured way. At the same time, you are open to new ideas and want to contribute to the continued development of the operations.
We are looking for a team player who appreciates collaboration, wants to be involved in the school's joint development work, and sees the value of building strong relationships with both students and guardians.
