The Pulmonary Medicine unit is part of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Medicine division at Skåne University Hospital. The operations include both outpatient and inpatient care in Lund and Malmö.
At the Day Care Lung Clinic, highly specialized lung cancer treatments are provided, distributed across three different teams. Here, doctors, nurses, medical secretaries, social workers, and service staff work together. In our dynamic environment, you will often encounter complex and exciting patient journeys where you have great opportunities to make a difference for the patient. Our goal is always to base our care on the patients' needs, where care and treatment are tailored individually and characterized by professional interaction from the entire team. Due to an organizational change, the Day Care Lung Clinic will, starting this autumn, become part of the Oncology-Hematology and Radiation Physics division.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We welcome a nurse who wants to work in our fantastic team and contribute to continuing to drive the operations forward.
As a nurse, your responsibilities include attending new patient visits, planning and administering systemic and supportive treatments, identifying needs for cancer rehabilitation, and participating in the long-term planning for patients. The role also includes telephone counseling and establishing contact with other healthcare providers when necessary. As a contact nurse, you create continuity, security, and involvement, acting as a support for both the patient and their relatives. For those interested in research, there is an opportunity to participate in various research projects in the future.
We offer all newly hired nurses an introduction tailored to their previous experience. Among other things, we have a highly appreciated integrated training package in pulmonary medicine with lectures, one afternoon a week, for ten weeks. Here, in-depth knowledge is provided about the different areas we operate in, such as thoracic oncology (investigation and treatment), general and specialized pulmonary medicine, and thoracic surgical care.
Your placement will be at the day clinic during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with the exception of every fifth weekend when you will work on the lung ward. No nights, public holidays, or major holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
We would appreciate it if you have experience within pulmonary medicine and/or general thoracic surgery. Specialist education in oncology and/or experience working with patients in cancer care is considered an advantage.

You are passionate about providing patients with the highest quality care and are eager to try out and develop new ways of working and techniques. Additionally, you have a high readiness for action, good interpersonal skills, and can change your planning based on the situation.
