Your responsibilities

As a Social Worker at the Youth Treatment Unit, you work with young people aged 13–20. There are plans for the unit to receive a changed mandate, which will likely lead to the team working more broadly with several target groups and with interventions outside of social assistance.

You work with children, young people, and their families/networks, conducting various types of conversations with the entire family system and sometimes individually with the young people. The work is both independent and team-based, with ample room for professional assessments and close collaboration with other actors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working from a systemic and relationship-building approach.
• Supporting the individual and family in creating structure, motivation, and sustainable choices in daily life.
• Working flexibly and needs-based within the framework of the flexible hours agreement.
• Working with Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Your qualifications

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• A Social Worker (Socialsekreterare/Socionom) or has another university education assessed as equivalent by the employer.
• Experienced in treatment work.
• In possession of a valid driver's license (Category B).

You must also be able to:

• Express yourself well in both speech and writing.
• Work flexibly, adapt to changing needs, and find ways forward in challenging situations.
• Thrive in social change work and have a commitment to seeing people grow.

Merits

• Education or experience in MI, CBT, or other treatment-oriented methods.
• Experience with treatment work and experience with the target group.

Integrity – You act professionally and value-driven, even in difficult and pressured situations. You stand firm in your assignment and make decisions that are sustainable in the long term.

At the Youth Treatment Unit, 11 social workers work with family treatment for ages 11–21. An MST team (Multi-Systemic Therapy) is also located at the unit.
