We are now looking for an engaged and service-oriented case handler to join our team. In this role, you will handle both customer contact and administrative tasks, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. In connection with this recruitment, we also want to increase the degree of automation and digitalization of our processes, which means you will have the opportunity to help shape future working methods.

About the position

The position is full-time (100%), permanent, starting September 1st or as agreed. Probationary period may apply.

Your main responsibilities

• Customer Contact: Handle incoming calls from customers with questions about invoices, bin orders, feedback, or other matters. You may occasionally encounter challenging and tough situations, so it is important that you remain calm and pedagogical. You should be able to explain complex information in an understandable way.
• Administrative Tasks: Responsibility for invoicing, payments, accounting, invoice approval, and archiving. The work requires an organized and structured approach to maintain overview and accuracy.
• Digitalization and Efficiency: You will work with various software programs, and we prefer that you are computer literate and open to learning new technology and systems. The role also involves actively contributing to streamlining and digitalizing our processes.

We are looking for someone who

• Has good communication skills and enjoys meeting people, even in challenging situations.
• Speaks and understands Swedish and English. As we are the administrative municipality for Finnish and Meänkieli, knowledge of these languages is an advantage.
• Is pedagogical, resilient, and service-oriented – you have "thick skin".
• Is organized, precise, and structured in your work. You should also be comfortable handling multiple cases simultaneously.
• Is computer literate. Experience with programs such as Visma, Elvira, or Infracontrol is an advantage.
• Is curious and open to change, with an interest in learning new technology and helping develop our digital solutions.
• Has experience in administrative work, preferably within invoicing, accounting, or similar fields.

About the Technical Unit

The Technical Unit in Övertorneå Municipality is a workplace with approximately thirty employees, distributed across areas such as Property, Water & Wastewater (VA), Waste Management, Streets & Parks, Vehicle Coordination, and Procurement. The unit's task is to ensure that the municipality's technical functions, such as water services, waste management, and property administration, run smoothly for residents. We work with engagement and collaboration to create sustainable and efficient municipal services.
