The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school, adapted compulsory and upper secondary school, and adult education. Lagmansskolan 4-6 is centrally located in Mjölby, within walking distance from the train station. In January 2027, we will together with Vasaskolan F-3 form the newly built Lejonbackens School F-6. We have begun our work in preparation for the merger into a joint school.

Your Role

The goal and mission of the operation is to promote learning where the individual is stimulated to acquire and develop knowledge and values. Active participation in the school's development, with a focus on raising knowledge results, is a natural part of your role.

Together with students and guardians, we focus on ensuring that students reach as far as possible in their development.

Responsibilities

Your duties as a teacher at Lagmansskolan 4-6 include supervision. For each grade level, you are four supervisors for three classes. This position involves teaching the subjects Science (NO), Mathematics, Swedish, and English for grade 6.

Active participation in the school's development, with a focus on raising knowledge results, language-developing working methods in all subjects, and our value-creating IBIS work, are natural parts of your role.

You shall, based on the set goals, work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially, and actively influence and stimulate students to achieve these goals.

Creating teaching that meets the requirements of the Education Act and the curriculum, based on the teacher's interpretation and understanding, is a foundation of your work. You must be subject-knowledgeable, supervise students, plan and lead teaching. Additionally, you will assess, document, grade student progress, and provide constructive feedback.

The school, in collaboration with homes, shall promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens. You have a professional collaboration with your colleagues.

Qualifications and Merits

• Teacher certification for grades 4-6 with eligibility in Science (NO), Mathematics, Swedish, and English.
• As we also have a need for a music teacher during the autumn term 2026, we see an advantage if you also have eligibility in music, but this is not a requirement for the position.
