Plusfamiljen Assistans is looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant for a young man in Enskede. The role involves providing support and assistance in daily life, with a focus on creating a safe and stimulating environment. The client is a social young man with interests in music, theater, and museums, as well as spending time with friends and family. We are therefore looking for an assistant who can contribute to enriching his life through meaningful activities and companionship. About the role

In the role of personal assistant, you will work with a young man who lives with his mother every other week. The position is hybrid and involves working afternoons and nights, with a swap against night staff. During weekdays, the client attends school between 08:30 and 15:30, which gives the assistant the opportunity to plan working hours flexibly.

We offer a fixed schedule of 33 hours every other week with day and night shifts when the client stays with his mother.

OBS: Temporarily during the summer, weekday shifts are extended due to school holidays.

Responsibilities

It is important that you have the ability to build a connection with the client and create a safe and secure relationship and environment, as personal chemistry is crucial for the assistance to function optimally.

The client has extensive assistance needs, which means your tasks include providing support and help in daily life with various activities such as meal assistance, communication, hygiene, mobility, supervision, accompaniment, and social support. Additionally, you will participate in activities that stimulate the client's interests.

You will be an important part of the client's life, and your efforts will have a significant impact on his daily life and development.

We are looking for you who

• Have a sense of commitment and the ability to meet the client in a pedagogical manner.
• Have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (this is a requirement).
• Have the ability to communicate through body language and establish contact, as the client is non-verbal.
• Are comfortable handling PEG tubes and performing intimate hygiene care.

Previous experience in personal assistance or similar professions is advantageous, as is having completed one or more education programs within healthcare and social care. We also value personal suitability and the ability to build trust.
