to apply for the job

Are you a pragmatic and business-minded corporate lawyer who can package complex issues in a simple way and drive meetings forward? Then this might be the job for you! We are looking for someone who wants to work in an engaged team, close to our business, with great responsibility and constant development. Here you get the chance to become even better at what you are already good at, while being challenged with new tasks and given great responsibility.

We are looking for you who want to work broadly within business law but with a focus on procurement law in our companies around Scandinavia.

Our business is largely based on complex multi-billion contracts that are procured and run for many years. Contract law is central, but many dimensions and legal areas affect the daily management, for example that our contracting parties are publicly owned in a politically controlled context. Changes in the outside world and rapid development also affect the business and ultimately the contracts.

You are a hybrid who has a sharp sense for the business and the best strategy forward, while also understanding how the law should be packaged. As a corporate lawyer with us, you have a central and important role, both overall and in specific meetings. You need to be curious to understand our business and strategy to be able to put the law in the right context.

We are looking for you who constantly want to develop as a project manager and have the ability to get others on board. With us, the corporate lawyers belong to the Group Legal function led by the General Counsel and assist the group with everything from procurement and judicial review, disputes, negotiations and M&A to data protection, corporate formalities and competition, rental and environmental issues in the countries where we operate. We work broadly but dedicatedly towards our subsidiaries within our business areas Bus, Care and Commercial on the Nordic market.

To succeed in the role, we believe that you:

  • Have a law degree and work experience from a law firm, public authority or public company and/or private company or equivalent, preferably within sectors such as construction, society or infrastructure.
  • Have worked practically with some part of the public business, preferably conducting procurements, submitting bids and/or handling review processes. You have good knowledge of procurement law. It is desirable if you have worked with business law, especially contract and construction law, negotiations and disputes.
  • Are pragmatic and solution-oriented and have good leadership skills. You are by nature a communicative and informal leader who can make decisions. You are also confident in this, as large parts of our work are carried out in project form. You are often expected to be a project manager and drive both the work and the business forward, which you feel secure in.
  • You have the ability to make the law simple and communicative for employees and to easily forge new contacts.

Our operations are carried out in a changing environment, therefore you need to be able to think new, handle a high tempo, take own responsibility and always strive for "good enough". The role generally requires good legal knowledge combined with a commercial and business interest, as well as a high analytical ability and attention to detail.

Since we have English as the group language, good knowledge of both Swedish and English, orally and in writing, is a prerequisite. You need to be accustomed to creating presentation material with the right message that can be communicated to owners and other key stakeholders in the Nobina group.

About the role

You belong to the legal group function where the team is located. The work is broad and varied and will cover several different legal areas and jurisdictions. The tasks will include among other things:

  • You are the expert in all parts of procurement law and support our bidding processes in close cooperation with our bidding teams.
  • Follow legal development in the procurement area and continuously train our bidding teams.
  • Review award decisions and independently handle review processes and sometimes with the support of external law firms.
  • Write, review and negotiate Nobina's often long, complex contracts of high value, both in English and Swedish.
  • To continue building relationships with key stakeholders in each Nobina company and be a team player who helps the law run around the group with businesses and strategies.
  • To give advice within several legal areas that are relevant to our broad business activities, for example general contract and sales law, competition law, procedural law, trademark law, corporate law, camera surveillance, IT and GDPR.
  • To work close to the business and often in project form as an expert and decision support in various projects.
