Resident Support Worker for Skogsbo – Safe Housing for Women and Children Experiencing Violence

Skogsbo is The Salvation Army's safe housing facility for women and children who have experienced violence. Located in the Stockholm area, we offer secure accommodation in a pleasant and calm environment. Here, women and children can find a safe haven and a platform to move forward in their lives. Skogsbo has space for 15 women and approximately 21 children.

Job Responsibilities

As a Resident Support Worker, you will provide both practical and psychosocial support to women and children. The tasks are varied, and we are looking for someone who is creative, flexible, and possesses strong empathetic skills. We work with a milieu therapy approach; our physical environment is important, and we aim to support and strengthen the whole person—mind, soul, and body.

Skogsbo is staffed from Monday to Sunday, 08:00–20:00, and shifts fall within this time frame.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with the target group/victims of domestic violence, minimum 2 years.
  • Education as a treatment assistant, social pedagogue, or similar post-secondary education. Must be supported by a diploma.
  • Valid B-class driver's license.
  • Female applicants only.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • NCK's course on violence.
  • Courses PATRIARK and Freda.

A prerequisite for a successful collaboration is that you share The Salvation Army's values. Personal suitability is highly valued.
