Valdemarsvik is an archipelago municipality in southern Östergötland, located along the E22 highway. We are a municipality with approximately 7,500 inhabitants today. About the Position

As a preschool teacher, you will be employed by Valdemarsvik Municipality with a placement at Ringarum Preschool, with the possibility of reassignment within the municipality's preschools based on operational needs.

Ringarum Preschool is located close to nature in the heart of the community. Here, we create a safe and inspiring environment where every child has the opportunity to develop according to their own prerequisites. At our center are play, relationships, and curiosity. We see every day as an opportunity for learning, both in planned activities and in the spontaneous moments that arise during children's exploration. By being present educators, we can capture what is happening here and now and develop it further together with the children. By sometimes working in smaller groups, we create good conditions for every child's participation and learning. We actively work to create health-promoting and inclusive learning environments where children feel safe, seen, and significant. Part of our work involves strengthening children's social competence and the important work regarding norms and values.

The systematic quality work is clearly visible, and the teaching in the preschool is led by dedicated educators who together develop the operations through reflection, collegial learning, and joint planning. We work for close collaboration between colleagues at the preschool as well as between all five of the municipality's preschools. Contact with guardians is highly valued, and we actively work to ensure that both children and adults feel involved in the operations.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you have a special responsibility for teaching and for leading the pedagogical work together with the work team.

Your duties include:

• planning, implementing, following up, and developing teaching based on the curriculum
• being responsible for systematic quality work together with colleagues
• creating accessible, safe, and developmental learning environments for all children
• contributing to children's language development, learning, and well-being
• actively participating in collegial learning and joint development
• collaborating with guardians and other professions

We view teaching as something that happens both planned and in the moment, where you as a preschool teacher have an important role in capturing and developing children's curiosity.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed preschool teacher with a preschool teacher degree
• have good knowledge of the preschool curriculum
• have a genuine commitment to children's learning and development
• are confident in your professional role and can lead teaching
• have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate
• are curious, reflective, and want to develop the operations together with others

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• pedagogical documentation
• systematic quality work
• language-developing approaches
