Do you thrive on change and are you passionate about children and young people? Then we need you!
Welcome to our dedicated assessment team for children and young people in Nynäshamn!
Job Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities involve conducting assessments of children and young people (0–20 years) and their families, in accordance with the Social Services Act and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). You will also be responsible for following up on decided interventions. We work using the BBIC method, adhering to current legislation and municipal guidelines. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is a natural part of the role, as is active participation in the unit's quality and development work.
The unit offers close leadership support. You will receive a thorough introduction through our method supporter, as well as continuous supervision and competence development tailored to the operational needs.
About the Workplace
The Social Services Board's mandate is to offer individualized support and services within the areas of elderly care, disability services, children and family, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents through all stages of life.
The assessment group is part of the Children and Young People Unit, which also includes the Foster Care Group. The entire unit is led by one Unit Manager and three Group Managers.
Our assessment group consists of 16 employees. Of these, 14 work with assessments for children and young people (0–20 years), while two focus on young people placed externally in HVB (residential care), SIS (special schools), or supported housing. The group is led by two Group Managers and has a Method Supporter who assists in developing and supporting the team. We have a mix of new employees and experienced colleagues, creating a dynamic characterized by curiosity, knowledge, and energy. We value a good team spirit, lack of pretension, and mutual support – we do this together!
Nynäshamn Municipality has a large own outpatient care service and well-established collaboration with the police, schools, and healthcare. We are in an exciting phase of development to meet the requirements of the new Social Services Act. The implementation of a team-based working method began in 2025 and will continue through 2026.
The workplace is located in the Nynäshamn Municipal House, within walking distance of the commuter train station, with a magical view of the sea and the harbor.
