The Psychosis Clinic in Lund provides rehabilitation and outpatient care for individuals with psychotic disorders, tailoring care interventions to the patient's specific needs. The treatment aims to support the patient in regaining their functional capacity in various areas of life; personal care, housing, work/studies, and leisure. A special focus is on young people who are newly diagnosed. The unit includes a First Episode Psychosis (FEP) team that works with the entire family/network. We view relatives as a very valuable and natural part of the treatment. We offer various forms of support to relatives, such as lectures. A key part of the work is collaboration with municipalities and care partners.

Each patient has a designated care contact who, together with the patient, creates an individual treatment plan. We work in a cross-professional manner using psychosocial treatment methods in groups or individually. This is an important part of the treatment, and we have a wide range of methods to meet the patient's specific needs. We work in a cross-professional team according to the F-ACT treatment model (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment).

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have applied for/received proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in a team with other professional groups at the unit. You will continuously work to develop good cooperation with patients, relatives, and care partners. In your role, you will also be a designated care contact and responsible for planning care for a certain number of patients at the clinic. At the clinic, we work to increase cooperation between outpatient and inpatient care, and in your role as a nursing assistant at our clinic, you will also work in inpatient care Ward 1/PIVA every 4th weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Since the work largely involves communication and documentation, good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.

Applicants who currently hold a permanent position with the professional title 'skötare' (care assistant) can apply and will retain the professional title upon employment (however, at the latest until 2033, when the title 'skötare' ceases to exist within our operations). It is meritorious if you have experience working in psychiatry or with patients with mental illness. In addition, good computer skills and basic knowledge of our medical record system Melior are advantageous.

You have a genuine interest in psychiatric nursing care and you always put the patient in focus. We believe that as a person you are secure and stable; it is important that you can maintain calm and have a low-affective approach in stressful situations. With a high sense of service and responsibility, as well as good cooperation skills, you meet the situation the patient and their relatives are facing with humility. You master basic medical-technical moments at the nursing assistant level, such as venous blood sampling, pulse and blood pressure measurement, as well as ECG examinations and wound care. You enjoy supervising students and feel secure in that role. You have good prioritization skills and you also contribute to a good work environment. You are solution-focused, have good planning skills, are versatile, and enjoy working long-term. We are keen on finding the right people and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Attach the nursing assistant certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare if you have received it, or a degree certificate to the application. If you have not yet received your proof of protected professional title, grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education must be attached. If you have not yet received the certificate, you will be given the title of nursing assistant psychiatry in the meantime. If you were employed as a nursing assistant on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, or if you were employed as a 'skötare' before November 1, 2023, please submit a certificate of employment confirming this.
