We are now looking for a female personal assistant who wants to work with a six-year-old girl with Charge syndrome. She lives in Gothenburg with her family. In the role of assistant, you will make a difference in the girl's and her family's lives. You will have the chance to help a person live life on the same terms as others, as far as possible.

The job involves working as a personal assistant to a girl with Charge syndrome, who has extensive care needs. She has, among other things, a tracheostomy and a PEG tube. The work includes everything from nursing care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, motor training and physiotherapy, as well as assistance with activities. It requires 24-hour supervision and double assistance. The workplace is in the girl's home and wherever she is.

Working hours are scheduled during both day and evening times, as well as nights, Monday through Sunday. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, for example due to illness.

As you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for your specific user, it is important to have good work ethics where everyone supports each other. We also look for availability during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would prefer that you, as an applicant, have a flexible and independent work style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility based on the individual's needs. You should have good competence in documentation and a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and sensitivity for caring for people. Other desirable qualities are being energetic, patient, observant, empathetic, flexible, and responsible. You must be fluent in Swedish as good communication is very important in this job. Experience in personal assistance is a great asset.
