The Department of Digitalization and IT currently consists of approximately 45 employees distributed across the units IT Service, Operations, Infrastructure and System Development, as well as Digital Governance and Development. As a Support Technician, you will become part of a highly competent team within IT Service, where collaboration and job satisfaction are key components.

Job Description
In this shared role, you will have a varied daily routine where you work closely with users while also contributing to the development of the university's technical environment. A large part of the work takes place at the service desk, where you provide support via the visit desk, phone, and case management system. You support both staff and students on-site, which can involve everything from installing and delivering computers and peripheral equipment to assisting with software and mobile phones.
You will also work with the administration of accounts and permissions in various systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues directly on-site. A key part of the role is maintaining and supporting the university's network infrastructure, where you handle incidents and contribute to strengthening network security. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in exciting implementation projects and work with the configuration and maintenance of network equipment.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in IT support for users via cases and phone.
- Experience in installing and delivering computers as well as installing software.
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and network security.
- Experience troubleshooting both computer and network issues.
- Experience working in an academic environment.
- Good knowledge of MS Office 365 and general knowledge of both PC and Mac.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
You are ambitious, structured, responsible, and have a strong sense of service. You are open, receptive, and have the ability to communicate about problems and solutions. You thrive working both independently and in a team, and are motivated by new challenges and the opportunity to develop.

The position is full-time (100%) until 2026-09-30, with immediate start. Örebro University applies individual salary setting.
