About the Role
The IT Specialist position is located within the IT Operations unit, one of five units in the Information Supply and Digitalization Department. At IT Operations, we are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Örebro Municipality's business systems. We are a growing team of nearly 30 employees, offering services in application operations, client operations, server and network operations, storage, backup, and database management. Örebro Municipality strives to be a modern employer, which is why we offer the possibility to work partially remotely.
At Örebro Municipality, we work according to our governance and collaboration model based on PM3. You will be part of a well-functioning team led by a Project Manager. We apply ITIL processes for the management of our IT components and planning.
You will play a key role in dialogues with suppliers and the planning of upcoming tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the systems you are in charge of. This primarily includes: monitoring/alerting, troubleshooting, supplier contact, upgrades, support during procurement processes, and keeping operation documentation up to date.
- Participate in upgrades with preparations and planning, as well as troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of database platforms and server environments.
- Participate in 3rd line support.
- Participate in unit projects.

Our department has the overarching responsibility to lead and coordinate the municipality's digitalization development, and we are responsible for information supply, information security, IT architecture, development, IT operations, IT support, digital workplace, and telephony.
The department is divided into five units: the unit for project management, service, and support; the development unit; IT operations; and the unit for strategy, architecture, and transformation. As an IT Specialist in Application Operations, you will belong to the IT Operations unit. Our workplaces are located in the City Planning House 2 and Åbylunden 1.

Qualifications
In your role as an IT Specialist, it is important that you listen, communicate, and collaborate well with your colleagues. You have technical understanding and work well with complex issues, breaking them down and solving problems. To thrive in this role, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You take responsibility and plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently, with strong documentation skills. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a good work climate. For us, having fun at work is important!

Requirements:
- University education, preferably at least 180 credits with an IT focus, or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar tasks.
- Experience with databases, primarily SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
- Experience with Microsoft IIS.
- Good scripting skills in PowerShell.
Meritorious Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft SCOM.
- Experience with container technology, such as Docker.
- Experience with cloud services, such as Azure.
- Experience with PM3.
- Experience with ITIL.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft AD.
- Good knowledge of virtualization solutions for remote access, such as Citrix.

Additional Information
The position is security-classified, and a register check and security interview will take place before employment. Since the position is security-classified, Swedish citizenship is required.
The role may involve being part of an on-call rotation for application operations, with recurring weekly on-call duties at an interval of approximately every fourth week.
