Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As a Software Engineer here, you will become a key part of the development and maintenance of products within our business area, Missile Systems. Here, you will have the opportunity to work close to the technology and contribute to future products that make a real difference in our mission to keep people and societies safe.
You will become part of a cross-functional team with colleagues who work according to agile principles. Together, you will drive development forward, share knowledge, and take responsibility for solutions that need to be robust, well-thought-out, and sustainable over time. The role gives you great scope to influence both technology and working methods, and since we are on a growth journey, there are good opportunities for you to contribute ideas regarding methods, structure, and how we work together.
At our company, there is a wide variety of software development and system development at many levels. Depending on which team you belong to, you can work on everything from embedded systems to large graphical planning systems. You will get exciting and varied tasks with several new projects underway, while also contributing to the further development and maintenance of existing products. This creates a daily routine where you both utilize your current competence and continue to develop in step with the technology, the team, and the business.
The position is located in Karlskoga.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have good communication skills in Swedish and English and who thrive working closely with others in a team, while also being able to take personal responsibility and drive your work independently. You have experience working in an agile environment, are responsible in your approach to tasks, and are eager to share your knowledge with others.
It is an advantage if you have previous work experience as a hardware-near software developer with knowledge of C/C++, experience with Linux-based development environments, and skills in testing, continuous integration, maintenance of development environments, and security development.
Furthermore, we believe that you are driven by learning, appreciate the freedom to take technical initiatives, and are motivated by working on solutions where quality, purpose, and long-term impact are at the center.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to applicable regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
Please note that we work with continuous selection and that the positions may be filled before the final application date has passed.
