We are now looking for an engaged software developer to join our team within Ground Combat at Saab. Here you will have the opportunity to work with advanced embedded systems at the forefront of technology, from requirements specification to finished product, in close collaboration with experts in several technical areas.

Your role

As a software developer, you will be a key player in a cross-functional team that designs, develops, and tests solutions for Ground Combat's product portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues in areas such as electronics, mechanics, electromechanics, system design, and product management.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Break down and refine technical requirements
• Design and implement robust software solutions in C/C++
• Integrate, test, and verify the team's developed software
• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile activities
• Contribute to the product's technical roadmap and long-term development
• Work with modern methods for efficient software development

The position is based in Karlskoga.

Your profile

You are curious, quality-conscious, and enjoy working in a team. We appreciate that you have a willingness to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and help drive development forward.

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent higher education engineering degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software development for embedded systems
• Strong competence in C and C++
• Experience in development and test development in Python
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
