About us
The unit consists of three supported housing facilities and residential support, led by a unit manager and a team leader. We work across the entire Kungsholmen district area and meet adult individuals with intellectual or psychiatric disabilities who have decisions on support according to the Social Services Act.

Your role
As a residential support worker, you provide support to individuals in their daily lives based on individual needs and conditions. You are a support person for a number of clients, sometimes together with a colleague.
Together with the client, you plan the support based on the decision on support and the implementation plan. The work may involve creating structure in daily life, providing practical support at home, or accompanying them to activities and contacts outside the home.
You work close to people's daily lives and become an important person in their path toward increased independence and security.
The role includes:
- Documenting and creating high-quality implementation plans.
- Collaborating with case managers and other important contacts around the client.
- Independently planning and prioritizing your work.
- Making decisions in various situations and adapting support based on the individual's needs.
The work is largely independent, but you are always part of a team with support from colleagues and the team leader.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- Education relevant to the position, for example, assistant nurse with a focus on psychiatry, mental health care assistant, social pedagogue, treatment assistant, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
- At least one year of experience working with the target group.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge or education in:
- MI – Motivational Interviewing.
- Neuropsychiatry.
- ESL – An Independent Life.
We place special emphasis on the following personal abilities and skills: To thrive and succeed in your role as a residential support worker, you need to be calm, patient, structured, and flexible. It is important that you have knowledge about mental illness and that you can assess how to best support the client based on their conditions and diagnosis. Since clear communication is important for the clients, you need to be good at listening and adapting to the recipient. Since the work is largely independent, it means you have a good ability to work independently and make decisions in various situations.
