Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people? Join our placement team!
Are you passionate about the safety and development of children? Do you want to work in an engaged and competent team where quality, collaboration, and the best interests of the child are at the center? Apply to become part of our placement team. As a placement caseworker, you work in a team close to children and young people placed in foster homes. You play a central role in monitoring placements and ensuring that every child receives a safe, stable, and good placement, as well as opportunities to maintain contact with their biological network and, if possible, reunite with them.
Your responsibilities
- Monitor placements and ensure good and safe care in foster homes/emergency homes.
- Document and process cases, e.g., assessments of care, writing investigations, and conducting home visit investigations.
- Maintain ongoing journal notes.
- Actively work to enable safe and well-planned reunions.
- Collaborate closely with our foster home secretaries and other actors around the child, especially the home where they live and their biological network and parents.
You always work with the best interests of the child in focus, based on current legislation and evidence-based methods. We work, among other things, with Signs of Safety.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in Social Work.
- Has experience in authority practice concerning children and young people, or work with young people at risk of crime.
- Has a valid driver's license (Category B).
- Wants to work with a clear child perspective and find solutions together with families.
Experience with Signs of Safety is an advantage.
As a person:
- You are structured and confident in your professional role.
- You easily build trusting relationships.
- You are communicative and express yourself well in speech and writing.
- You actively contribute to development and improvement and believe in people's potential for change.
- You are interested in having a child perspective and working with the complex issues involved in family care.
Your workplace
You will become part of the Child and Youth Unit, a context where you both develop and thrive.
We are 37 engaged employees, organized into different specialized groups such as investigation, family care/placement, and reception/young people at risk. You will receive close support from both the group manager and the team leader in your work. The team leader holds regular case reviews, while the group manager is responsible for your work environment and development.
We offer
A flexible workplace with opportunities for independent work, bouncing ideas with the group, and participating in professional collaboration.
We have flexible working hours with great possibilities to work from home on certain days of the week, as the technical environment is well-functioning. Normal working hours are 08:00–16:15.
You will receive close leadership where the team leader is available to answer questions and discuss cases, and your manager is present to ensure you receive the support and development opportunities you need. We offer individual competence development, such as the professional journey. An annual wellness allowance is also provided.
About the position
Start date according to agreement. The employment begins as a probationary period, which after 6 months converts to a permanent position. Start date according to agreement.

You apply easily with your CV and answer our selection questions – no cover letter is needed. In the final phase of the recruitment, a background check is conducted by an external company.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope you want to become part of our team!
