Do you want to be part of developing your workplace? Are you also structured and eager to ensure that care becomes the best possible for our cancer patients? Then you might be our new colleague!
At the Surgical Clinic in Lund, patients with elective and subacute surgical conditions are treated. The unit is divided into several teams: the Upper GI team (diseases of the esophagus and stomach), the HPB team (liver, biliary tract, and pancreatic diseases), the Endocrine and Sarcoma team (endocrine gland diseases), the Acute and Stoma team, the R&D team (research and development), and our operating coordinators.

Within our area of operations, we are nearly 800 employees with different competencies who contribute to this every day. We are a pleasant group where daily conversations invite improvements, new thinking, and many good laughs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We now have the opportunity to welcome an engaged nurse to the HPB team! The position is a one-year substitute role as our colleague is going on parental leave.
At the surgical clinic, all steps in the patient process are handled, from referral via investigation to surgical planning and follow-up after surgery and treatment. As a nurse, you play an important role in creating security, involvement, and acting as support and guidance for the patient and their relatives. We offer a varied job where you will, among other things, work with SVF (standardized care pathways), work with 'My Care Plan' in 1177, and continue to develop our contact nurse-led follow-up program for cancer rehabilitation.
Our clinic is characterized by close collaboration between the different professions and a pleasant work climate. We have a learning environment with good development opportunities, where you get the chance to exchange knowledge with your colleagues. Here we offer rotation positions where working hours are mostly during daytime at the clinic, Monday-Friday without holidays, but with duty every 5th weekend at the inpatient ward linked to your team's specific diagnoses. Other types of rotation opportunities exist and can be discussed according to your wishes.
We care that you, as a new employee, will thrive with us and enter your role in the best way. You will be offered an individual introduction adapted to your experience, competencies, and wishes. We have several clinical studies ongoing in the teams, and we offer internal training every other week.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. We would like you to have a great interest in surgery as well as some years of experience in the nursing profession. If you also have specialist training in surgery and/or contact nurse training, it is meritorious for the position.
Furthermore, you possess good collaboration skills and a strong interest in meeting patients and relatives in difficult life situations. You adapt easily to new situations and have an independent working style while being part of the team. You are confident in your professional role with great commitment, good service sense, and the ability to take responsibility. If you are driven by new challenges and want to be part of developing our operations, we believe you will thrive with us. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
