About Us

Varbergs Ungdomshem operates a small residential care home (HVB) outside of Varberg, with space for five young people aged 15–20. We work closely with the young people in their daily lives, offering a safe, structured, and relationship-based environment. This places high demands on responsibility, independence, and good teamwork skills.

We have framework agreements with the City of Gothenburg, surrounding municipalities, as well as the regions of Skåne, Kronoberg, and Halland.

We are looking for you who:

• Have relevant education (e.g., social worker, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or equivalent).
• Have experience working with children and young people in vulnerable situations.
• Are secure in yourself, have good self-awareness, and can remain stable in pressured situations.
• Have good documentation and communication skills.
• Are willing to work night shifts and be on call when necessary.
• Hold a valid Class B driver's license.
• Can provide a police record extract required for residential care staff.

Merits:

• Previous experience from residential care homes or similar environments.
• Knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), trauma, and low-arousal approaches.
