Do you want to help develop a working method that truly makes a difference for young people at risk of criminal involvement?
On Lidingö, we are now taking the next step in our work with this target group and are looking for a SIG Coordinator who wants to help shape the assignment together with us. We are currently developing our work related to the Bob Council and what we call the Bob-individual, where we work together with the police according to confidentiality-breaking regulations. As an SIG Coordinator, you will have a key role in coordinating interventions for young people in need of consolidated support – where collaboration, structure, and relationships are at the center.
The Unit for Intervention and Foster Care belongs to the Care and Social Administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö Municipality. Here, approximately 800 dedicated employees work to support Lidingö residents through all stages of life. We exist to create security and opportunities – whether it concerns elderly care, social psychiatry, support for people with disabilities, or individual and family care. With experience, collaboration, and curiosity, we meet each individual based on their needs and create security and opportunities, both today and for the future.

Job Description
As an SIG Coordinator, you will become part of our intervention team, which consists of intervention case managers who follow up on all approved assistance decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) (excluding foster care). You will be supervised by the same group leader to maintain short decision-making paths and quick prioritizations when necessary. As an SIG Coordinator, you will have a varied and meaningful assignment where you work both close to the individual and drive the development of working methods.
As an SIG Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate work around individuals within the framework of Social Intervention Groups (SIG).
- Initiate, plan, and lead SIG meetings.
- Be able to offer therapeutic conversations.
- Ensure structure, documentation, and follow-up in cases.
- Act as a contact point for the Swedish Police Authority and other collaborating actors.
- Contribute to the development of working methods and routines.
- Support managers and employees in questions regarding collaboration and information sharing.
The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Work degree).
- Experience working with youth at risk, criminality, or complex problems.
- Good understanding of collaboration between different actors (e.g., social services, police, schools).
It is meritorious if you have:
- Education in methods such as New Pathways (Nya Vägvalet), Repulse, or other equivalent methods.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Experience in preventive or crime-preventive work, SIG, or other forms of collaboration that we consider equivalent.
As a person, you have a strong commitment to the target group and thrive in a role where you get to combine structure, collaboration, and relationship-building work.
Employment Terms
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
The municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. The position is a project appointment 2026–2027 with a possible option for extension.
