We are now seeking a Budget Controller for Höganäs Municipality who wants to contribute to further developing the municipality's financial management, budget process, and system support. You will become an important part of the finance department together with experienced and engaged colleagues where collaboration, development, and quality are in focus.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and other controllers, responsible for developing and ensuring the quality of the municipality's budget process. The role also involves close collaboration with the municipality's administrations and the municipal group's companies. It is important that you have a strong interest in ERP systems and how financial processes can be developed and optimized in a system environment. You will have a central role in further developing the budget process in the municipality's business system.

You also need to have good accounting competence as you will partly be involved in both interim and annual closing processes.

A selection of your responsibilities:

Lead and develop the budget process together with the Finance Manager.
Create conditions for a uniform, quality-assured, and efficient budget process.
Work with analyses, follow-ups, and financial control.
Be involved in interim and annual closing work.
Develop and maintain system support in the ERP's budget module.
Identify opportunities for digitalization and optimization of financial processes.
Inform, educate, and provide support to the business operations in budget and financial matters.
Conduct investigations and projects within the financial area.
Monitor and analyze changes in legislation and regulations.

Qualifications

University education in economics.
Good knowledge of financial management and accounting.
Experience in qualified financial work in larger organizations.
Experience with major financial/business systems.
Very good skills in Excel.

It is meritorious if you have experience from public sector operations as well as knowledge of Qlik or other BI tools. If you also have experience with Agresso, UBW, or other ERP systems, we see it as an extra plus.
