We are currently looking for several warm, stable, and dedicated personal assistants for an 11-year-old boy in Sollentuna.

He is a curious and charming boy who loves music, plays the piano, and enjoys talking. He has a good vocabulary, but his speech is unclear, so you will work with assistive devices such as a widget tablet. You will receive training on how to use these.

When he feels safe, he shows a lot of humor, personality, and joy.

He also loves being outdoors. Walks and other outdoor activities are an important part of his daily life.

To feel well, he needs structure, predictability, and calm adults around him.

Sometimes he can become frustrated and exhibit challenging behaviors. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is calm, secure, and able to maintain composure even in difficult situations. We work with low-affect responses, clarity, and respect for the boy's needs.

When the relationship is at its best, he can be funny, curious, and social.

The work takes place primarily in the boy's home, where he lives with his parents. You will become an important part of his daily life and work closely with the family to create safety, structure, and a positive everyday life.

You will receive thorough introduction and training, so that you can get to know the boy, the routines, and the working methods at a comfortable pace.

Also suitable for students

This job may be particularly interesting for you who are studying or plan to study subjects such as psychology, behavioral science, special education, occupational therapy, or similar fields, and wish to gain valuable practical experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions (NPF).

As a personal assistant, you will among other things:

• Be a secure support in the boy's daily life
• Help create structure and calm
• Find activities and stimulate his interests
• Participate in walks and other outdoor activities
• Handle difficult situations with a calm and low-affect approach
• Work with communication aids
• Collaborate closely with the family
