About the Position
Skogsvägen is a short-term care/leisure facility for children and young people with various functional variations. We implement decisions regarding short-term relief and short-term supervision according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). At Skogsvägen, we work with low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication, and implementation plans. We always start from the individual and their conditions. The work group includes coordinators and support teachers.
The tasks consist of mentoring and supporting the children/young people based on their needs and interests during their stay at the short-term/leisure facility. You are expected to maintain good contact with guardians and collaborate with other activities to ensure a common approach to the children/young people. Documentation is part of the job duties.
Who are you?
- Educated as a nursing assistant, youth leader, completed the Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work, or has other equivalent education.
- Previous experience working with clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling is meritorious.
- Experience working with children and young people with functional variations is meritorious.
- Flexible, curious, and confident in taking on varied tasks.
- You have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation and communication are a large part of the job duties.
- The job places high demands on working pedagogically in a structured and clarifying manner. This requires patience and sensitivity to be able to engage, motivate, and guide.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Further education within functional variations.
- Knowledge of the individual's needs at the center (IBIC) working method.
Conditions
The position is a permanent employment from August 26, 2015, or as agreed. Working hours include day, evening, weekend, and on-call duties may become relevant. Probationary employment may be applied. Interviews may be conducted during the application period. For those offered employment, a certificate of no objection from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register is required according to the Register Control Act.
