To our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, we are now looking for a Technical Writer for an assignment at their site in Finspång.

This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development possibilities.

This is initially a 6-month consultancy assignment via Unik Resurs with very good opportunities for extension.

We conduct ongoing selection, which means the assignment may be filled earlier than the application deadline.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Do you want to work with technical information in a high-tech environment where quality, development, and collaboration are in focus? We are now looking for a Technical Writer who wants to help create clear and user-friendly documentation for advanced technical products.

About the Role

You will become part of the Technical Information department, where approximately 45 engaged and competent colleagues work with technical information for gas turbines and heat pumps. The team is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering a large number of information products and manuals to both internal and external customers. There is a strong focus on the development of processes, systems, and information products – and you will have the opportunity to contribute both operationally and strategically to the work on future technical documentation.

Your Tasks

In the role of Technical Writer, you will among other things:

• Produce and develop technical documentation and information products.
• Write clear and pedagogical instructions for technical systems and products.
• Gather, structure, and verify information from technical specialists.
• Maintain and develop standard templates and classification trees in CMS systems.
• Work with project-specific instructions and documentation.
• Contribute to the development of working methods and information structure.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, we believe you are curious, structured, and communicative. You have an easy time understanding complex technology and can convey information in a pedagogical and user-friendly manner.

You work methodically and solution-oriented even when challenges arise, and you have a good ability to independently drive your work forward.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in information technology, for example, university or university college education.
• Advantageous with education in data or computer science.
• A few years of experience working with technical information.
• Experience in creating new technical content independently.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with topic-based authoring, DITA, and XML.
• Good system familiarity and experience working in CMS systems.
