Tasks and Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly experienced and structured senior process engineer who wants to take hands-on, operational responsibility for completing and quality-assuring one of our ongoing projects in industrial heat pumps. This role suits you if you have solid technical calmness, work methodically, and are driven by tying up loose ends and maintaining a clear thread through the final phase of the project.
About the Role
In this role, you will step directly into an ongoing and complex project within heat pump technology. Your primary focus is hands-on completion, which means you will review existing designs, identify any gaps, and ensure that all process and mechanical solutions fit together seamlessly against contracts and technical specifications. You will work with reviewing, problem-solving, and completing several central subsystems, such as refrigerant systems, lubricating oil systems, cooling systems, instrument air, and associated auxiliary and peripheral equipment such as detection systems.
Since the project is in an intensive final phase, high demands are placed on your ability to work focused under time pressure without compromising structure. You will work in close collaboration with project management, suppliers, and internal functions, becoming the unifying technical force that ensures documentation, system design, and functionality maintain the correct quality all the way to delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Operationally drive and perform design work to complete and close open technical points in the project.
- Ensure a clear thread throughout the entire process and system design, including P&ID, component selection, and piping systems for subsystems.
- Review, quality-assure, and structure technical documentation prior to final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to guarantee that technical deliveries occur according to schedule and set goals.
Your Profile
Who you are
We are looking for you who are a confident and senior engineer with years of experience behind you. You distinguish yourself through your calm and methodical working style, even when the pace around you is high. You are structured, have a sharp eye for detail, and have a natural ability to see the big picture so that no technical aspect or interface falls between the cracks. You are a non-hierarchical team player who thrives on working hands-on to reach the common goal.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (University or Civil Engineer) in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, or equivalent.
- Extensive and long-term experience (senior level) in process engineering, system design, and mechanical design.
- Experience in the construction and design of industrial auxiliary systems, where knowledge in one or more of the following areas is highly advantageous:
- Refrigerant systems / Cooling technology
- Lubricating oil systems
- Cooling systems
- Instrument air
- Packages and auxiliary systems (e.g., Detection skids)
- Documented experience in working structuredly with completing and finalizing complex industrial projects.
- Very good ability to structure and quality-assure technical documentation and materials.
- Experience from the energy industry, process industry, or large-scale power plants is a requirement.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
