Job Description
Do you want to lead the work that ensures advanced technical systems function – throughout their entire lifecycle?
We are now continuing to establish Sigma Technology Engineering in Östergötland.
We are building a business area focused on qualified roles within technology, systems, and lifecycle management – and we are now looking for an experienced ILS Manager who wants to work in our client assignments.
This is an opportunity for you who want to combine strategic responsibility, technical expertise, and leadership – in assignments where you play a central role in developing sustainable, accessible, and efficient systems over time.
About the Role
As ILS Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the work around Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in complex technical projects.
You ensure that products and systems can be operated, maintained, and further developed in an efficient and cost-effective manner throughout the entire lifecycle.
The role involves overall responsibility where you work both strategically and operationally – from early phases through delivery and into operations.
Your areas of responsibility include:
- Leading and coordinating ILS work in technically advanced projects
- Developing and implementing strategies for Lifecycle Management (LCM)
- Ensuring requirements related to operation, maintenance, availability, and support
- Driving analyses such as LSA, LCC, reliability, and maintenance optimization
- Planning and developing maintenance and spare parts strategies
- Coordinating cross-functional teams (technology, production, procurement, service)
- Acting as an advisor to clients on issues related to lifecycle and system support
- Contributing to the development of methods and working practices within ILS
You will become a central actor in the projects with significant influence on both solutions and results.
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for you who are confident in your competence and have experience working within ILS or lifecycle management.
You have a good understanding of systems and are accustomed to working in complex, technology-intensive environments.
We see that you have:
- An engineering degree in areas such as logistics, mechanical engineering, production, or systems engineering. Alternatively, equivalent competence acquired through work experience. A Master's or Civil Engineer degree is meritorious.
- Several years of experience working within ILS / Integrated Logistics Support
- Experience in leading work or coordinating teams in projects
- Good knowledge within LSA, LCM, maintenance analysis, or similar areas
- Experience from technology-intensive operations (e.g., defense, industry, system development)
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally
We work closely with our clients, and a B-driver's license is a prerequisite.
Since we often work within the defense industry or other vital societal functions, the positions are usually security classified and may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
Personal Skills, Traits, Experience
To thrive in the role, we believe you are someone who likes to take responsibility, create structure, and drive work forward in complex environments.
We believe you are:
- Structured and analytical – you bring order to complex contexts
- Holistic – you see the connections between technology, cost, and benefit
- Clear leadership – you bring people along and build collaborations
- Communicative – you convey messages clearly to different target groups
- Result-oriented – you drive the work forward and deliver
You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
Meritorious
- Experience from the defense industry or other security-critical operations
- Background in systems engineering or requirements management
- Experience in reliability, RAMS, or configuration management
- Military service or experience from the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience in developing working methods within ILS
We view it as meritorious if you have completed military service or have other relevant experience from the Swedish Armed Forces. Equivalent experience in security, preparedness, or similar areas is also seen as a plus.
We Offer
You will become part of Sigma Technology Engineering where we combine technical competence with a strong team spirit. As a consultant with us, you will belong to an engaged team that values community, knowledge sharing, and having fun together.
We put you, the consultant, at the center. Your well-being, your development, and your career goals are our priority.
We believe in long-term relationships and want you to thrive and grow with us for a long time. As a consultant with us, you will always have an engaged leader and colleagues, a secure employment, a flexible workplace, and the opportunity for a good work-life balance.
We look forward to receiving your application!
