Your role

As a System Test Engineer, you work with verifying and validating control systems for advanced fighter aircraft systems. This is a task that requires analytical ability, precision, and technical curiosity. The role gives you insight into the entire chain, from requirements to a verified fighter aircraft system.

Concretely, this involves among other things:

• Planning and conducting tests via desktop simulations and in full-scale flight simulators - where you, as part of the job, are also given the opportunity to fly yourself
• Analyzing test data to ensure that the control system is safe and meets established requirements
• Compiling technical analysis through formal test reports
• Developing your own tools in Python and other environments for analysis and data processing
• Collaborating with test pilots and other technical disciplines in an aviation safety-critical context

You will become part of a close-knit team of 15-18 engineers characterized by strong cohesion. Here, we help each other, share knowledge openly, and have a high tolerance for questioning and testing new ideas. It's not just something we say - it's something you notice in the first week.

• Requirements Management & Systems Engineering Role - go broader and deeper into system understanding

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science engineer, preferably in systems engineering, technical physics, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, medical technology, or similar. Experience level is not decisive - we value the right person over the right number of years.

We become extra curious about you if you recognize yourself in some of the points below:

• Programming in Python, experience with Linux, Git, Matlab, and LaTeX
• Knowledge of numerical methods and data analysis
• Interest in or practical experience with AI and machine learning
• Pilot license or a genuine interest in aviation
• Experience with requirements management or project management

If you have not studied aviation-related courses at university, it is no obstacle - we offer the opportunity for basic training in areas such as aerodynamics and flight mechanics.

You master Swedish and English in speech and writing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
