Are you an engaged leader with experience in leading change? We are now looking for a Production Manager for our Pipe and Welding Department!

Your Role

As a Production Manager, you lead the daily operations in the Pipe and Welding Department and work actively to develop and streamline the business.

In the Pipe Workshop, pipes are manufactured for, among other things, the fuel and hydraulic systems of the Gripen. In the Welding Workshop, articles for the Gripen are also manufactured; the most common welding method is TIG welding in aluminum, although other materials and methods are also used. The materials vary – aluminum, titanium, stainless steel. Approximately 20 employees work in the two workshops today.

The departments are undergoing a change as we move towards more automated manufacturing. Personnel responsibility is part of the role, and the Production Manager also leads the daily activities of the support team. The support team includes quality, production technology, and near-term planning.

As a Production Manager, you will report to the Workshop Manager and be part of the workshop's management group. Saab is in an expansion phase, which means changes may occur in both the role and areas of responsibility.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role, you should be structured, independent, resilient under pressure, and have good collaboration skills. We prefer that you have previous leadership experience and that as a leader, you are clear, engaged, and focused on developing the business and your employees. Experience leading in a workshop environment as well as experience in welding and/or pipe manufacturing is meritorious.

Good knowledge of the English language is a requirement as much of our documentation is written in English. Great emphasis will be placed on your experience and personal qualities.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
