Do you want to combine project management with technology, economics, and close contact with people? Friday is now looking for a Project Manager for a company within electricity distribution. Here you will lead your own projects, work closely with both technical specialists and external partners, and contribute to a stable and reliable electricity supply in the region.
In this role, you are responsible for projects regarding the expansion, connection, and maintenance of the local grid. You are assigned your own projects which you drive from initiation to completion, with responsibility for planning, economics, progress, and delivery.
You work closely with designers, contractors, and other project managers. The role also involves many contact points with, for example, customers, landowners, suppliers, and other external actors. You are expected to be actively present on-site at the projects and usually spend two to three days a week out in the field to follow the projects hands-on rather than just from the office chair.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and follow up on your own projects.
- Responsible for project budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up.
- Coordinate contractors, designers, and other involved parties.
- Monitor project schedules, quality, and delivery.
- Manage dialogue with customers, landowners, suppliers, and internal functions.
- Ensure that work is carried out according to the company's requirements and methods.
- Document and follow up on projects in business systems.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has work experience from a technical operation, preferably within electricity & energy.
- Has experience in project management or has worked as, for example, an installer, preparer, installation technician, and wants to take the step into project management.
- Has a good technical understanding and an interest in understanding how different parts of a project fit together.
- Thrives in taking independent overall responsibility for your projects.
It is an advantage if you:
- Have worked in the energy sector, electricity distribution, or power engineering.
- Have worked with contracting projects within, for example, electricity, fiber, water/sewage, or related technical areas.
- Have a post-secondary education in power engineering, energy, technology, or a corresponding field.
- Have experience with project budgeting and financial follow-up.
- Have worked in SAP or similar business systems.
To thrive in this role, we believe you are responsible, solution-oriented, and comfortable making decisions. You work in a structured manner and drive your projects forward, while being open to the competence that exists around you.
Since the role involves many different contact points, you need to be communicative and have an easy time building trusting relationships. You thrive in dialogue with both technicians and contractors as well as with customers, landowners, and suppliers. You appreciate a varied job where time is distributed between the office, meetings, and visits out at the projects.
Other information:
The work takes place on-site at the client's office in Nässjö. In the long run, there may be opportunities for some flexibility regarding hybrid work based on the needs of the business and projects. Since you are frequently on-site to follow the projects, a B-driver's license is required to get there smoothly.
Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
About the employment:
- Scope: Full-time
- Start: According to agreement
- Location: Nässjö, with day trips in the surrounding area
- Salary: Market-competitive monthly salary
- Contact person: Hampus Kindgren, [email protected]
