Do you want to be part of an exciting technical and scientific operation – in an environment where curiosity, collaboration, and creativity are at the center?
At FOI, you will work with advanced technology that makes a concrete difference for Sweden's defense and security. We are a team of dedicated researchers and engineers who combine theory, experiments, and analysis to find smart solutions to real-world problems.
About the position
As a researcher with us, you work at the forefront of development, but also in a supportive and learning environment. You will conduct applied research for the benefit of our clients within the defense sector.
The work can range from ideas and modeling to experiments and analysis – and you will have the opportunity to contribute both your technical expertise and your perspective. Within the unit, there are both experienced experts and newly hired researchers, creating good opportunities for mentorship and knowledge exchange.
You don't need to know everything when you start with us, but you must be curious and willing to dive into the technical and scientific areas that are relevant. This means you will further develop your skills with us. This may happen both within the framework of the research activities and in the form of individually adapted competence development based on your and the organization's needs. We are looking for someone who is curious and solution-oriented, with an interest in working at the intersection of theory and practice.
About the unit
You will be part of the Radar business area, which belongs to the Telewarfare department. The units work, among other things, with developing, demonstrating, and evaluating technical systems for defense applications. The activity is both theoretically and experimentally oriented, with measurements performed both in the lab and in the field.
