Your Role

In the Section for Basic Aircraft System Testing, part of the Flight Test department, we are now looking for an additional Test Engineer who wants to work with the testing of Gripen and other aircraft!

As a Flight Test Engineer, you work on test-related issues in a project format, all the way from the development phase to the final verified and validated product. We conduct testing of the Gripen in a variety of test stations such as hardware rigs, simulators, and aircraft. The role combines theory and practical close work with our aircraft.

Your main responsibilities include, among other things:

• Develop and prepare test methodology and test programs
• Lead tests within your development team
• Analyze and evaluate test results
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving in the systems of the aircraft and rigs

Your Profile

Requirements:

• University degree in Engineering (Civilingenjör) or Higher Education Diploma in Engineering (Högskoleingenjör) in a relevant field.
• Ability to express yourself well in English, both written and oral, as documentation is mainly conducted in English.
• Knowledge of Python, Matlab, or similar tools.

Experience of flight technical testing and system development is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience and knowledge of using AI.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For the position, Saab requires security classification and Swedish citizenship.
