Your role

We are now looking for a Section Manager for our department within aircraft avionics. As Section Manager, you will be responsible for a group of more than 20 systems engineers and several technical leaders who integrate and develop aircraft avionics in our flight platforms.

You will have personnel responsibility for your group of engineers and shared operational responsibility for the section with the current Section Manager. This means you will work with recruitment and development of employees and teams within the section, as well as having ultimate responsibility for the schedule, technical status, and economy of the section's operations. You will be part of the functional area's management group where you help develop the entire organization's capabilities through strategies and support between sections.

Your areas of responsibility will include, among other things:

• Lead and coach your employees
• Create conditions for the group to perform optimally
• Develop collaboration with other parts of the organization to ensure working methods, schedules, and compliance with requirements
• Ensure that our operations are conducted efficiently and with good quality
• Budget responsibility

Special Mission & Regional Aircraft develops and maintains Airborne Early Warning & Control Systems (AEW & C), as well as maintaining Saab's civil aircraft. The assignment includes developing new solutions for new and existing customers, as well as maintaining and upgrading already sold systems. The Systems Engineering functional area, which includes Avionics, is responsible for preparing the basis for integration and installation of various systems in different types of flying platforms.

We see that you have:

• Documented experience from previous leadership positions
• A well-developed communication skill where you express yourself comfortably in both Swedish and English.

Meritorious:

• Documented leadership experience from technical organizations, preferably with responsibility for systems engineers or similar specialist roles.
• Previous work with personnel responsibility.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
