Are you an engineer with experience in testing operations? Do you want to work on tasks that ensure we contribute to making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the one we are looking for. Here, you will have the opportunity to use your skills where they truly make a difference.
About the role
As a Test Engineer, you will play a central role in planning, conducting, and analyzing testing activities within the field of electromagnetic environment (EME), while also contributing to strengthening the organization's technical capabilities and development. You will become part of a knowledge-intensive team where you will drive testing assignments forward in close collaboration with test pilots, flight engineers, chief test engineers, designers, the Swedish Armed Forces, and industry partners.
The role involves responsibility for the entire testing chain – from planning and developing test programs to execution, analysis of test data, and reporting of results. You will lead test teams in assigned assignments and be responsible for activities such as resource ordering, briefing and debriefing of test pilots, as well as technical analysis and reporting.
As a Test Engineer, you will work with the entire chain from need to world-leading technology. You will also support project management in concept work, requirement setting, and reviews of test objects. This role suits you if you thrive in a project-oriented environment where collaboration, personal responsibility, and the ability to drive work forward are crucial for achieving results.
The position is located in Linköping. Domestic and international business travel may occur.
About you
We are looking for you who are a civil, university, or military engineer with a relevant technical focus, or alternatively have equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equal. You need to have current and relevant experience from work within one of the areas: electromagnetic environment/EMC, electrical engineering, microwave technology, radio technology, or measurement technology. The position requires a B-class driver's license as well as good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
Meritorious is current and relevant experience of working in a project form or conducting testing operations. Also relevant experience from testing according to MIL-STD 461 and RTCA DO160 or equivalent EMC standards. It is an advantage if you have experience of leading testing operations or have led a test team for a specific technical task. Desirable but not a requirement is current and relevant experience of the Swedish Armed Forces' and/or FMV's operations.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for you who are structured with a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an effective way. You are self-reliant, take responsibility for your task, and also have a good ability to lead others. You collaborate well with other people, are receptive, and solve challenging situations in a constructive way. It is also important that you are a person who is flexible and has an easy time adapting to changed circumstances.
