The County Administrative Board is a regional state authority with approximately 1,000 friendly and competent employees. We operate in several locations in Västra Götaland, as well as elsewhere in Sweden, as we are responsible for IT operations for all County Administrative Boards.

Job Description

The Cultural Environment Unit consists of the cultural environment assessment function and the cultural environment administration function, and is one of six units within the Society Department. The Cultural Environment Unit carries out various conservation and documentation measures within the World Heritage Site of Tanum's Rock Carvings. We are now looking for an antiquities conservator for an intermittent hourly position where we sometimes need to contact you with short notice for assignments. The workload is estimated to be approximately 10 hours per month.

The main tasks of the position involve clearing and ground maintenance, as well as marking and assisting with surveying/scanning of rock carvings and other ancient monuments within the Tanum World Heritage Site.

We are constantly developing our operations, so you need to be open to the possibility that your tasks may change over time.

Location: Gothenburg

Travel is included in the position.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Current experience from practical conservation of ancient monuments.
• Experience with 3D documentation of ancient monuments.
• Competence to professionally use brush cutters and chainsaws.
• Competence to professionally operate 4-wheeled all-terrain vehicles.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits:

• Good local knowledge of the Tanum's Rock Carvings World Heritage Site.
• Ability to respond quickly when called.

• You have the ability to prioritize, adhere to set timeframes, and see tasks through to completion.
