We have student rooms on the ward (Orthopedic Students' Rooms, OSS) where we create security and learning for both students and supervisors based on the peer-learning concept. We have a strong educational culture with regular lectures and training that give you good conditions to grow in your profession.

We have started a long-term journey to work according to the Magnet Model, a framework based on years of research on how we can provide care of the highest quality, strengthen our interprofessional teamwork, and give our employees clear professional development. We value teamwork highly; we have our interprofessional rounds where all professions on the ward participate and work for person-centered care and patient involvement. We also work purposefully to ensure that the right care is given to the right patient based on smart clinical choices. Ward doctors are on site every day of the week, which also contributes to continuity-driven care and teamwork.

Newly hired nurses are also given introduction days with the specialist nurse and the nurse with educational responsibility for reviewing core competencies, regular reflection, and presentation of routines and working methods. For you who are an experienced nurse, we create an individual introduction plan adapted to your previous experience together. Mentoring is offered to all new employees as part of securing new employees in their profession and in the work on the ward.

You and your colleagues participate in the development of our operations, and you are given time for this and the opportunity for competence development. We also encourage further education. Among other things, you get the opportunity to read advanced-level supervision training, deepen your knowledge within your clinical QUALIFICATIONS
