Malmö Specialist Dentistry is now looking for a Dental Nurse to join a growing specialist clinic within pedodontics, orofacial medicine, and general anesthesia dentistry. Here you will work closely with dentists/specialists, dental nurses, and anesthesia teams in a practice with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

About the Employer

Malmö Specialisttandvård is a specialist clinic located centrally in Malmö, specializing in pedodontics, orofacial medicine, and general anesthesia dentistry. The clinic primarily treats child patients, patients with dental anxiety, and patients with medical or special needs.

The team currently consists of 4 dentists/specialists, 4 dental nurses, and 1 receptionist. The clinic operates in modern facilities and uses the medical record systems Muntra and Tandvårdsfönstret.

About the Role

The role combines clinical and administrative work, primarily within pedodontics, with one day per week dedicated to orofacial medicine.

The duties include, among other things:

• Assisting in treatments, primarily in pedodontics and one day/week in orofacial medicine
• Working with patients under nitrous oxide and midazolam sedation
• Managing own patients for induction, prophylaxis, patient preparation, and sterile work
• Handling referrals and administrative tasks in Tandvårdsfönstret
• Scheduling and coordinating patients in the booking system
• Writing medical records and ongoing administration

Mondays and Tuesdays are primarily anesthesia days, involving close collaboration between dental nurses, dentists/specialists, and the anesthesia team. Wednesday to Friday, the work consists mainly of first visits, treating awake patients, as well as assisting and administrative tasks.

The position involves working with patients who often have dental anxiety, medical complexity, or special care needs, which requires a high level of safety, structure, and professional patient interaction.

We are looking for you who

✅ Have education and certification as a Dental Nurse

✅ Are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

✅ Have at least 5 years of clinical experience as a Dental Nurse in Sweden

✅ Have nitrous oxide training and competence or experience with induction and treatment using nitrous oxide/midazolam/sedation

✅ Have excellent communication skills and can express yourself professionally even in complex situations

✅ Are comfortable working in digital systems and handling administrative tasks

Plus points

➕ Experience working within pedodontics and/or orofacial medicine, preferably at a specialist clinic

➕ Experience with patients with special needs or dental anxiety

➕ Experience working with high patient flow and close teamwork

➕ Experience with administrative tasks and referral handling

➕ Experience working with the medical record system Muntra

➕ Experience working with medically fragile patients

What the clinic offers

The clinic offers a permanent full-time position with a fixed salary and collective agreement via Vårdföretagarna. The salary range is 28,000–33,000 SEK/month depending on experience.

You will be offered structured onboarding as well as opportunities for internal and external competence development in areas such as nitrous oxide, specialist dentistry, acute situations, and CPR. There are also opportunities to develop within pedodontics and orofacial medicine, as well as the possibility to become a Specialist Dental Nurse.

The clinic offers a wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK/year for full-time employment and the possibility of a commuter pass.
