The Employment Unit (AME) in Härryda Municipality is organized within the business area Härryda Future. Härryda Future aims to have the highest proportion of employed residents in Sweden. Through Härryda Future, various functions within social services, education, and business collaborate so that all residents of Härryda Municipality can support themselves.

AME is a service provider that implements decided authority decisions and works on assignments from referrers. In addition to mentors, AME's team consists of a unit manager, coordinator, employment caseworker, business coordinator, teacher, and administrator.

Participants are referred to AME primarily from the municipality's social assistance unit, but cases may also come from the upper secondary school, the coordination board, the municipality's adult education unit, and others. The unit is also responsible for coordinating the municipality's holiday internships, youth jobs, and youth services.

AME is currently in the midst of implementing a new working method that is process-based to increase efficiency. A vital part of this new method is the BIP research, which is a comprehensive Danish study. AME is also preparing for the implementation of the Activity Requirement, which will start during the year. This assignment will also be incorporated into the new working method.

We are now looking for a practical mentor.

Your assignment

AME's mentors lead a range of different activities that fall under the BIP research areas: Work, health, and socially related activities. The participant conducts progress measurements together with their employment caseworker, which form the basis for mentor-led activities that you lead.

We are looking for someone who can practically mentor our participants in tasks related to park maintenance and gardening. The assignment also includes leading various health promotion activities and group work training at private companies.

An important part of the mentor's assignment is to motivate the participant to engage in the decided activity and to communicate the participant's progress with the unit's employment caseworker.

As a mentor, you coach adults and youth based on the employment caseworkers' assignments and the participants' individual needs. You work with participants primarily in group activities.

A vital part of the assignment is collaboration with colleagues within the mentor group as well as other colleagues at the unit.

Requirements for the position

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education that the employer finds relevant for the assignment
• Has experience with park maintenance and gardening
• Has a Category B driver's license, manual transmission

Merits include:

• Experience from working in a municipal employment unit.
• Knowledge of the BIP research and ability to apply it in your work.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record register must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
