The Employment Unit (AME) in Härryda Municipality is organized within the business area "Härryda Future". Härryda Future aims to have the highest share of employed residents in Sweden. Through Härryda Future, various functions within social services, education, and business collaborate so that all residents in Härryda Municipality can support themselves.

AME is a service provider that implements decided authority decisions and works on assignments from referring agencies. In addition to mentors, AME's team consists of a unit manager, coordinator, employment caseworkers, business coordinators, teachers, and an administrator.

To the greatest extent, participants are referred to AME from the municipality's social assistance unit, but cases can also come from upper secondary schools, the coordination association, the municipality's adult education unit, and others. The unit is also responsible for coordinating the municipality's holiday internships, youth jobs, and youth services.

AME is currently in the midst of implementing a new, process-based working method to increase efficiency. A vital part of this new working method is the BIP research, which is a comprehensive Danish study. AME is also preparing for the implementation of the Activity Requirement, which will start during the year. This assignment will also be incorporated into the new working method.

We are now looking for a practical mentor.

Your Role

AME's mentors lead a range of different activities falling under the BIP research areas: work, health, and social-related activities. The participant conducts progression measurements together with their employment caseworker, which forms the basis for the mentor-led activities that you lead.

We are looking for someone who can practically mentor our participants in tasks related to simple furniture restoration and caretaking/maintenance. The role also includes leading various wellness activities and group work training at private companies.

An important part of the mentor's role is to motivate the participant to engage in the decided activity and to communicate the participant's progression to the unit's employment caseworker.

As a mentor, you coach adults and young people based on the employment caseworkers' assignments and the participants' individual needs. You work with participants primarily in group activities.

A vital part of the role is collaboration with colleagues within the mentor group as well as other colleagues at the unit.

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education that the employer considers relevant for the assignment.
• Has experience with simple furniture restoration and caretaking/maintenance.
• Has a Category B driver's license and experience with manual transmission.

Merits:

• Experience from working in a municipal employment unit.
• Knowledge of BIP research and the ability to apply it in your work.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
