The Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KIT) unit operates at ten hospitals in Skåne and has over 200 employees. The unit is responsible for laboratory activities within clinical immunology, transfusion medicine, and transplantation, as well as blood donation in Skåne. KIT has a mandate to supply the healthcare system in Region Skåne with high-quality blood components to enable modern healthcare for acute and chronic conditions. The operation is accredited and some parts of the activity are centralized to Lund. We are organized in processes with unit managers, medical directors, and process leaders working in close collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome biomedical analysts to Blood Group Immunology in Lund and Malmö.

We offer you a responsible, developmental, and exciting job. Your tasks are varied and include, among other things, work with automated and manual analyses for blood grouping, compatibility testing, and antibody investigation. Molecular biological methods are also available within the unit.

As an employee with us, you become an expert in blood group immunology and serve the entire southern healthcare region with your competence in the field.

The place of work for the positions is in Lund, but duty in Malmö occurs regularly. Working hours are also scheduled during on-call times, meaning evening, weekend, and night shifts are included in the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical analyst with permission to work within Swedish healthcare and have basic education in transfusion medicine. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is an advantage if you have experience with manual and automated blood group immunological analyses and if you are accustomed to working during on-call hours.

As a person, you are responsible, goal-oriented, and have a good ability to work both independently and in a group. You work in a structured and careful manner and have a good ability to communicate professionally with both internal and external contacts. Since much of the work can be urgent, it requires that you adapt quickly to changed planning. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
