RESPONSIBILITIES

Ödeshög Municipality is now seeking a swimming teacher or swimming teacher assistant for the summer swimming school 2026. The position is 80% to 100% and is fixed-term for weeks 30, 31, and 32.

We are looking for a fourth employee for Ödeshög's outdoor swimming school for the summer of 2026. You will join a work team that has several years of experience conducting outdoor swimming schools together and teaching children born in 2020 or earlier.

Ödeshög has a long history of conducting outdoor summer swimming schools. Usually at Visjö Bathing Area just outside the central town, and this is also the plan for 2026. The focus is on water confidence, swimming skills, and lifesaving. You will be involved in conducting swimming instruction and ensuring a safe and fun place for learning.

The swimming school takes place on weekdays from Monday, July 20th to Friday, August 7th. The student groups have their lessons during the day. During this period, you will need to work one or two evening shifts as the municipality offers opportunities for other swimmers to earn swimming badges. You will never work alone but will always work together with one of our existing swimming teachers who have good knowledge of the bathing areas in the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role!

  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • You are confident in the water and have good swimming skills.
  • Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
  • Being a certified swimming teacher is an advantage.

Salary: Hourly wage.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months.
Working hours: Daytime.
