Who are we?

The mission of the Competence Supply Office is to highlight the future workforce and be an active part in solving Norrköping's competence supply needs. With our shared resources and professional competence, we are a central party internally and externally for society's growth and individual development.

We design effective and flexible education based on competence supply needs and career changes in working life, with interventions for those far from the labor market. We give our residents the opportunity to grow and develop, and the path to self-sufficiency should be as short as possible. This increases the quality of life for residents, where more people take responsibility and contribute to a sustainable future.

Competence supply is the word that unites us in our mission across all the operations we work for. Within the office, we are approximately 400 employees responsible for social assistance according to the Social Services Act, municipal labor market measures, budget and debt counseling, as well as adult education from Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) to university college. We provide administrative support to the Competence Supply Board.

Your responsibilities

In the role of teacher/study coach, you support adult students in succeeding in their studies by helping them find structure in their studies and encouraging them to believe in their own abilities. You work closely with teachers, special education teachers, study and career counselors, and other staff to find solutions for students with different needs.

The position is part of an SPSM project where you actively participate in the development work regarding accessible learning and student support. This means you work practically with participants both individually and in groups, and you test, evaluate, and develop new working methods within the framework of the project.

You coach participants individually and hold teaching in study techniques, work with students in groups to increase motivation, and create plans for the students. You also instruct students on how the digital tools work. An important part of the work is to early identify the need for support among the students you work with and to create close collaboration with teaching teachers and together with them develop support that gives students the opportunity to succeed in their studies.

The work takes place primarily during the day. Evening work occurs based on students' courses and needs.

You will combine human interaction, structure, and development work – and actually see the results of your support.

Who are you?

We see that you are a certified upper secondary school teacher and have experience teaching in adult education or upper secondary school. If you have experience in development work and working with student support, we consider it an advantage. You have good IT skills and can use digital tools in teaching.

Furthermore, you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. If you have knowledge within NPF, we consider it an advantage.

As a person, you are structured, calm, and curious, and you have a flexible and solution-focused approach to work. You thrive in a multicultural environment, enjoy working closely with your colleagues in a team, and do not mind thinking one step further to find smarter ways to support and motivate students.
