Description

The Psychiatric Clinic in Mariestad is responsible for the assessment, investigation, and treatment of patients with psychiatric conditions at a specialist level. The clinic provides structured and goal-oriented care, treatment, and rehabilitation, both individually and in groups. We offer outpatient services, a mobile team, and day hospital care.

Approximately 25 employees with mixed competencies work at the unit: medical secretaries, social workers, psychologists, nurses, psychiatric nurses, care assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

As a social worker, you will work with all patient groups, providing a great opportunity to gain broad experience. Opportunities for specialization within the scope of the unit's mission are available.

Together with the other psychiatric specialist clinics in Falköping, Lidköping, and Skövde at Skaraborg Hospital, there are networks for social workers where collaboration and knowledge exchange take place. You also have the opportunity for supervision.

Responsibilities

You will be part of an interprofessional team and be responsible for psychosocial competence. Your duties include social assessments, support for patients and relatives, and collaboration with healthcare partners and authorities such as the Public Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. You will work both individually and with group therapy.

If the employer deems it appropriate, some coordination responsibilities may become relevant.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker (socionom). You preferably have previous experience from, for example, social services, psychiatry, and/or other types of treatment work. Competence as a Case Manager or similar working methods is meritorious.

You are stress-resistant, proactive, and solution-focused. Since you will be working with patients in vulnerable situations, it is required that you have the ability to build trusting relationships and possess a high degree of personal maturity. You can work independently but also collaborate well with colleagues and other partners. Furthermore, you need to be confident in working with groups.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

A driver's license is desirable, and company cars are available at the clinic.
