Cook for Bäckskolan in Kisa

Do you want to work with food that makes a difference – every day? Kinda Municipality is primarily looking for a cook for the kitchen at Bäckskolan. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the students' health, well-being, and learning through nutritious and tasty meals in a secure school environment.

About the role

As a cook at Bäckskolan, you will prepare school meals for lower secondary school students. The role includes responsibility for cooking and serving lunch, as well as preparing salads, breakfast, and snacks. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other staff members in the kitchen.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, the tasks can be adapted, with greater responsibility for cooking and planning if you are a trained cook.

The current employment level is 85%, with the possibility of extension if the needs of the operation change, for example, due to staff changes.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and/or serving nutritious and balanced school meals
• Preparing salad buffets, breakfast, and snacks
• Ensuring good hygiene, food safety, and order in the kitchen
• Providing good and professional treatment to students and colleagues
• Contributing to a well-functioning and positive collaboration in the kitchen team

Qualifications

• Cook training or documented experience as a cook is meritorious
• Experience working in a school kitchen or large-scale kitchen is meritorious
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Service-oriented, flexible, and responsible
